The love and support we have received during the last few days has truly touched our hearts. We appreciate your prayers and thank you for reflecting Christ and loving on us!
“Peace be still.”
We were going to have a baby, but we had an angel instead.
For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways
In our last prayer update, we had shared that Susan was almost four months pregnant.
As we know in life, sometimes our plans do not match the LORD’s plans, and we don’t always understand. August 23 was one of those days as Susan went in for a checkup.
They found the baby had gone into Jesus’ arms a day or two earlier.
We - as do all parents - wished to be able to hold our baby and tell him about Jesus. However, now, Jesus will be the One holding our baby - telling him about us.
“So are my ways higher than your ways,
and my thoughts than your thoughts.”
Shiloh Eli
We named our baby Shiloh, “GOD’s gift.” Shiloh was the place where Hannah took her baby...
and gave him to the LORD. GOD never moves without purpose or plan when trying His servant and molding a plan.
Give thanks to the LORD, though your testing seems long. In darkness, He giveth a song!
We picked out our baby's gravestone today, so you know we're familiar with the pain you're feeling. But it's wonderful that even through great sorrow, God gives a song in the night's season and all the day long! Sincerely praying for God's presence and grace to be a complete reality in your life. In Him, Bonnie Foster
ReplyDeleteOh, I am sorry for your loss and I am shedding tears for you today and sending prayers upwards on your behalf.
ReplyDeleteWe too have a little heaven-baby named Isaiah. I share my story here about how our hearts were broken and about how good He is!

ReplyDeletePraying for you all and sending you a bug hug across the miles! God is good all the time, we are still certain of that!
ReplyDeleteWe named our little one Elioenai "my eyes are toward God". Exactly where his eyes will forever be and where we want ours to remain.

Nic and Suz,
ReplyDeleteAgain, I am so sorry for your loss. As much as I would have loved to meet baby Shiloh, I know that God had a different plan and I am glad that was accomplished. We continue to pray for you and can't wait until you come home, Suz,so I can give you a gigantic hug. Love you both so much.
Actually, the above comment is Amy, not Dean. Kind of funny when you think of Dean dying to give you a big hug!
ReplyDeleteI love the name your picked for your precious little boy. Just think of how much dearer heaven becomes with each loved one that goes on ahead. There is no better place for Shiloh to be then in the arms of Jesus. Hope you are doing well and we will continue to pray for you as you continue to trust your path to the Lord.

From our family to yours....we love you all dearly and miss you tons! Many many prayers have gone out to you all!
ReplyDeleteNic and Suz,
ReplyDeleteI felt bad sending you the email I did a few days ago. I saw your update at church and was so sorry to hear of your loss. Nathan and I just lost our first child in July. We are praying for the Lord to make Himself real to us and bless us with children in His time. I understand the heartbreak you are going through. As Christians, we believe all unborn children our real lives and gifts of God. We can rest in the peace and hope of knowing our children have skipped the sin and hurts of this world and are safely wrapped in the arms of Christ in heaven. You will be in my thoughts and prayers. Susan, I know we don't know each other well, but I understand how you feel if you would like to email and talk. Wishing you all the best!
In Him,
Keri Lawrence
